F.A.Q.
Frequently Asked
What is Deeper Body work?
Our body has the natural process of osmosis. It retains all our experiences within as emotions, energies, memories and thought imprints. It sponges or absorbs energies and emotions from people we interact with and stores it in the surface portions of the substance of our body. Deeper Body work is using our breath, awareness, prayer, will and complete surrender to first 100 per cent accept what is in our body and then aspire that only the vibrations of Higher Consciousness reside within us. It is about learning to let go the limitations within our body, to reject falsehood & entanglements, to choose with our cells to open to the Divine above and be receptive towards a full flowering of our physical and subtle body.
Is it some kind of meditation practice?
These are inner practices which you can do with eyes closed. However this will give you partial transformation. For the whole of our life to be transformed, after we do the inner practices for some time with eyes closed, we slowly extend the practice. We learn to do these inner practices throughout our day, say a 100 times, for a few seconds, with eyes open alongside our work. All the practices are body centred. This grounds us and transforms us in the moment. It supports us to bring our most resourceful Self to ourselves and the world.
Will this heal mental / emotional traumas or physical ailments?
It will. There are two criteria needed to engage with these practices. First is some interest in our body and a deeper aspiration that our body needs to house more of clarity, light, love, peace, joy, power and health within. The second is a faith or direct experience in the Divine and a certitude that the Divine does the Sadhana for us, to become the best version of Itself in us. Yes these practices heals physical ailments, mental, emotional or sensorial traumas or imbalances.
Which system of Yoga is practiced here?
We primarily draw our insights from the Integral Yoga of The Mother and Sri Aurobindo and share it with aspirants from all paths of self-transformation and spirituality. Facilitators are also trained in the conventional practices of yoga mainly from the Bihar School of Yoga and Svyasa Bangalore.
I have a physical defect by birth, do you think there is still any hope for this body to realise or hold the Divine within?
A body with any so called defect is nothing but an experience for the soul to grow through that. Also physically no matter what is the history or duration of challenge, through Divine Grace the body can release its ailments, receive the Divine touch and heal. For most people this needs to be supplemented with nutritious food, right exercises and holistic medicines. An absolute faith and trust in the body’s own capacity to regain its full health irrespective of the age is the golden key.
We are planning for our first / second child, and aspiring to become conscious parents. Will these practices help us bring a conscious soul in the world? Will this help us during the years of bringing up our child?
Today’s children already carry great creativity, spiritual qualities, potentials and new talents. They hold higher visions and a creative restlessness to manifest a new world. A lot depends on the parents capacity to be able to hold such a being. As the body is the final means to build the child in the world, the body itself needs to be highly conscious and in a constant posture of prayer to receive and help the soul to grow and fulfil its mission in this world. These practices are of utmost help during the entire journey of parenthood to consciously birth a child.
I am struggling with an event that happened in the past, which I feel has to some extent affected my physical strength, capacity and holds me back from achieving success in my career. Will this help me get rid of it?
The event is over. However the impressions of the events that has touched our senses lives and rotates within us. These memories carry often the original charge of emotions, feelings and states. Triggers from life reactivates and surfaces them from our conscious and subconscious. So it is very important to do memory work, with deeper body work as a base. The components of memory imprinted in our senses and present within our body, emotions and thoughts needs to be opened up and offered for transformation. Instead of passively suffering, consciously we need to detect the past image or sound or feeling creeping within us. We need to place our neutral awareness within the memory imprints and connect them to any Higher Source of Consciousness. Over time we will find an in-filling of the states of Higher Consciousness replacing the limiting states of our memories. This indicates that our memories are getting transformed. This catalyses significant progress in all aspects of our life, work, wellbeing and spirituality.
Is deeper body work a medium to get in commune with the cellular level of the body?
Yes. This is the work that The Mother and Sri Aurobindo are doing to transform body and earth consciousness into Divine Life. This makes the sadhana (inner practices) easier for all of us. If we keep focusing on tiny points within our body and do the practices, over time we will open by the Grace to awareness of cells. With our inner senses and direct perception we can ‘be’ with our cells, see what qualities are present, witness the action of Grace on them and find a natural joy when they ‘in-swell’ by absorbing more Light, Love, Grace, Force and Peace within them. Health, wellness, stability, intuitions, abundance of life-force and the like are by products of this path.
What do you mean by transformation?
When a ‘part’ of our body or being, by itself aspires to shift its internal state or condition from a limitation or mixedness to connect to a Higher Consciousness it is the aspiration of transformation. The part then releases the stuff of entanglements it holds to receive Divine Qualities from multi-fold Sources. It now slowly starts operating from a New Level, a frequency of New Creation which comes from the Divine Qualities being absorbed within in the present moment.

I am going through postpartum depression. Will body work help me regain my confidence and strength?
Deeper body work can definitely help to reduce and get rid of postpartum depression. In fact it can transform it into a higher understanding of motherhood. The only criteria is that before and during pregnancy, it is important to be engaged in some kind of body work i.e. Yoga, Qigong, Tai Chi or other conscious exercises, meditation etc. so that the body is conscious enough to recover fast with the help of deeper body work.
